What's your policy on electronics during dinnertime?

According to a recent AP-iVillage poll, 50 percent of American families allow the phone to interrupt dinner meals (at least half the time) and 15 percent admitted to emailing and texting while passing the potatoes.

I am the kind of mother who will readily remind her crew that any kind of electronic distraction during dinner time is too rude to tolerate

    Ban them. They only distract the family during the meal.

    Dinner at the table is the only quiet time my family has together. There is no tv or phones allowed until the meal is over.

          We ban phones and texting but sometimes watch t.v. The less distractions, the better.
